What Is VO₂ Max and Why Does It Matter?
VO₂ max is the maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during intense exercise. It’s one of the strongest predictors of longevity and cardiovascular health. This calculator uses the Rockport Walking Test — a validated submaximal field test that estimates VO₂ max from a 1‑mile brisk walk, your heart rate at the end, and your age/weight/gender.
